“To proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ”
Colossians 1:28

Your Problems Are Our Problems
True sympathy is to become so involved in the lives of people in need, that we make their problems ours and help them find a way out of them.  Biblical Counselors do just that, only we come along side hurting souls with the Word of God in hand and show them God’s way out.  Our model for this is the Lord Jesus Christ, who became the epitome of sympathy in His incarnation.  He entered into our plight in the most compressive way possible—by becoming one of us—to be sin or our behalf that we might become the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21), to humble himself that we might be exalted, to die in our place that we might live.  God calls biblical counselors to have this same attitude, considering the interests of others as more important than our own (Phil 2:3-4).

Are you hurting?

Phone us now and take the first and most important step toward great, godly change.  Let us sympathize with you.

We Minister the Word
The primary resource in Pilgrim’s counseling ministries is the Bible, because of its unique and divine nature.  One of the many descriptions of the Word of God is “living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart” (Heb 4:12).  Another is “profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness” (2 Tim 3:16).  Together they teach that the Bible is sufficient for Christians to judge their behavior and motives, correct ungodliness when necessary, and champion godliness.  After Jesus, Who was tempted in all ways yet without sin, demonstrated how to overcome trials and temptation, He left us his Word on the matter.  Doing what Jesus tells us, then, is clearly the best possible option in any situation.

“. . . the people who know their God will display strength and take action”
Daniel 11:32

Part of our ministry is to the Body of Christ at large. American Christianity, in the wake of the church growth movement, has been left in a spiritually weakened condition. It is starved of sound doctrine and lacks the ability to discern (Eph 4:14). This particular ministry of PRBC has become an effective way for us to be an encouragement and a resource to other local churches.

Pilgrim's Pulpit Supply
We provide pulpit supply for churches throughout New England on a regular basis.  Contact us to learn more about how to arrange for pulpit supply for either limited or extended times for your church.

Plymouth Conference on Reformed Theology
PCRT is a group of born again believers dedicated to propagating the Reformed Faith.  One special and effective way of doing that is through our annual conference ministry. Plymouth Conference on Reformed Theology hosts well-known Bible teachers from across America and the world who bring sound, Reformed teaching that makes a practical difference in our Christian lives.

Prison Ministry

“Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves also are in the body”
Hebrews 13:3

There is a great need for edification and evangelism “behind the walls”.  PRBC's prison ministry currently provides Bible studies for inmates in two minimum security prisons in southeastern Massachusetts. Chaplains who are interested in regular visitors or Bible teachers/studies in their correctional facilities may contact Pilgrim's prison ministry ((508) 813-6216) and ask for the Director, Tom Melkonian.
